The North is perfectly lovely except for the fact that it's rarely warm
there. From a photography point of view, it's superb. Or would be if the
sun shone long enough to get the camera focused.

Author's note to anyone north of Watford: I'm joking. A bit. lol

I'm happy with my corner of Somerset.

I like Somerset, especially the railway line that runs from Minehead to
Taunton. Oh, and the one that runs from Cranmore to Mendip vale and back
again. ;-)

West Somerset and East Somerset Railways - both very good. And we've
also got the Helicopter Museum near Weston-super-Mare which is also well
worth a visit.

Regards.

Another one to add to the list - and annoy the wife with ;-).

Thanks, I enjoyed the chat.

It was bright and sunny, but quite chilly, so I didn't spend a lot of time
out of the car looking for details. The centre of the page is the village
of Awbridge, and according to the map, has a church (churches are always
fair game for this photographer) but I couldn't find it, so it's a level
crossing, a path, a swimming swan and something else.

Well, yes, but it's typical of southern toffs taking the **** out of the
common northerners. It reminds me of other Canadians using Newfoundlanders
(Newfies) as the butt of jokes.

Cheers,

As we would say "southern toffs" be buggered! The south west is
different again - thank heavens.

Best wishes Indrek, I look forward to more of your postings. I'll be
visiting a few more museums in 2008, so I'll be doing a bit as well,
although I won't confine myself to southern England!

;-)
