Dan, U.S. Air Force, retired * i know in the white mountains they charge fool hikers who need to be rescued in the winter. The Coast Guard started that about 15-20 years ago. I think it's called the "Dumbass Charge".....and helicopters are very expensive....not to mention if they have to send a cutter after you. |
