The problem was, it was 3 - 0 favor the Cubs at the time of this foul ball, there were two outs and this would have been the third. Nope, there was only one out at the time. I was looking at a graphic that showed the number of outs at the time of the incident, it said two outs. Guess it was in error. Corky Scott |

Yeah, believe me. I was sitting in the upper deck of Yankee Stadium just
behind and to the right of home plate. A pop-up came down and landed in the seat next to me. I just stared at the thing thinking "I could have been killed by that thing." The guy behind me grabbed it. Heck, I've almost been killed that way at my son's Little League games! A pop fly foul ball into the sun is a bitch to see. -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |

Not anly are they so incompetent at the game that they allow the other team to scoe 8 runs, they are immature enough to blame it on their fans. Just look | at how they're crucifying this poor sap, for doing what ANY fan would have | done in the heat of the moment. The hysterical thing about it is that they are blaming this one fan for an 8-3 loss. There was only one out when the fan caught this foul ball anyway. The Cubs lost because they gave away five extra points, not because a fan caught a foul ball. Blaming a fan for "keeping the inning alive" when there was only one out in the first place is incredible. The Cubs lost because that is what they do. It is a tradition nearly 100 years old. |

Reading some 1918 (hehehe on both teams this year) Cubs vs Boston World
Series history - it said the Cubs played their 1918 World Series Home games at Comiskey Park, because it had more seats than Wrigley Field. http://www.sportingnews.com/archives...ries/1918.html -- Montblack ("Mike O'Malley" wrote) On another note, The Fan doesn't need to go to Florida for safe haven. South of Madison is just fine; not everyone in Chicago is a Cubs fan. Most of us Sox fans just kind of chukeled after that one. |

Stupid pointless game for redneck asshole slobs anyway.
Dave "Harry Gordon" wrote in message ... What I don't understand is how can one fowl ball being "missed" result in 8 runs???? If that is all it took to make the Cubs lay down and die, they shouldn't have been in the play offs to begin with. I'm I missing something here. I love those Marlins :-) !!!! Harry "idkw" wrote in message om... Karma's a bitch, ain't it Daly? The Cubs will never reach the series, ever. Muahahahahahahahaha. |
