notebook in the truck.

Can they actually use them? Or is it, like, (waving a notebook out the
window): "hey gal, want a ride?"...

I don't, but I guess to a trucker it would make some practical sense? At
least it could keep you guys awake.

The overhead, time, and expense of landing and taking off again would
tend to discourage dividing the trip into hops, I should think.

What I liked when I was out was the old radio shows.

I've been listening to those lately on XM. Especially the old comedy
shows like Jack Benny, Burns and Allen and even Red Skelton. Skelton's
hilarious. If he forgets lines he just ad libs. I think he was the
Robin Williams of my parents generation.

I also like the old westerns line the Lone Ranger and even Hopalong
Cassidy. It's interesting listening to the Gunsmoke radio shows. I
grew up watching James Arness play Matt Dillon on the TV series but on
the radio shows it was Robert Conrad playing that role.
