So... when is the last time that you started your plane? (there is general
aviation)

We went for a beautiful flight into Amana, IA just three hours ago. It's
not every New Year's Eve that the grass strips in Iowa are still open!

It was a bit rutted, but not bad at all.

This MUST be a Dighera thread. To this day, he stands (sits?) as the ONLY
person in my "killfile"... As a result, I am blissfully spared his
sanctimonious pontificating, and can only see the "collateral damage" caused
by his posts. This thread looks like a doozy.

because you have no technical clue. sorry, but it is the truth.

By the way -- did I mention that our "2nd Annual Oshkosh Pool Party" will be
held on Sunday, July 25th -- the Sunday before OSH '04? Everyone here is
of course invited to partake in the FREE BEER we will once again be serving
at poolside...

I'd appreciate your promotions beeing posted in r.a.misc. Even better would
be NOT posting such promotion. I'd suggest putting up a website and promote
it through your signature. maximum 4 lines and corectly seperated by "-- ".

Thank you.

true.

set a follow up ... aaaahh ... you are an anonymous and unknown idiot. you
count nothing.

Please remove this discussion to an appropriate news.admin group.

IF you would know the rules you would have followed them and you'd have set
a follow up to the appropriate group.

*I* now set a follow up to poster. It would not help much, though.

I believe the Charter clearly states that this is an English-language
newsgroup, Martin.

You've got three misspellings in just three sentences -- a NEW Usenet record
for illiteracy, and a CLEAR violation of the charter.

I suggest buying a new spell-checker (they're cheap!), or, better yet, stop
posting here until your English improves beyond the sixth-grade level.

I usually appreciate any post by either Martin or Jay. But there is no
reason to attack Jay for (rather mildly) plugging his hotel here. If that
was all Jay did on this newsgroup, I would be at the front of the mob
(probably carrying a pitchfork if all the scythes had been taken) demanding
that he cease and desist. But my own opinion is that Jay doesn't plug the
inn any more than the many of the rest of us talk about our own jobs. I
certainly don't mind!

Jay is a true member of this community, who happens to own a hotel that many
of us (including myself) would like to visit one day. In part to see the
rooms, but mostly to meet a good friend in person.

I have thought about driving to Iowa City from Texas. Make a few side trips,
but mostly to meet Jay, see the hotel and try to get some free beer out of
him!

Sounds like a fun time.

Jay is a pilot and owns a hotel that is aviation themed so I see absolutely
no harm in advertising it in this NG.

Show me where the charter says that he isn't allowed to advertise it.

Bet his English is a hell of a lot better than your German.

What kind of odds are you giving? His name is Honeck, after all.
