You obviously do not know Usenet protocol. Posting a one or two line sig
containing a link about one's own business is acceptable practice.

Jay contributes to this group far more than he benefits from his sig
containing a link to his business.

Nope, I don't feel the same way. So long as Jay's sig. adheres to the "--"

Two little dashes, AND a space, and the software that knows what to do with
them.

Even that doesn't placate some. Heck, Martin is ALWAYS on my case about my
signature line, even though it follows this protocol.

Of course, Martin could use some decaf when it comes to just about every
topic...

Those words don't sound like me, but I'll check on Google.

I'm more likely to simply call him an ass when he praises Bush ;-)

it is "dash dash space" :-)

Which is precisely what mine is, followed by the four lines.

Four lines? Uh...

1) Jay Honeck

5) "Your Aviation Destination"

You count like my four year old.

Um...where did I suggest that two dashes (and a space) mean the difference
between feeling warm/fuzzy and getting ****ed off? Jay's sig. line does
neither to me. I merely disagree with the original poster (C. Observer,
"And if anyone thinks I'm joking - then (politely) ask Jay to drop his SIG
file advert from future posts and see what he says to that idea."). IIRC, I
think you're allowed to disagree out here in usenet land.

Man, get a life.

Great suggestion but I already have one that I'm quite satisfied with.
