Frank, be extra careful over there, would you? Aunt Jemahma is acting
all crazy again.

Steven,

I know, I got the hint when I had some business at the U.S. Embassy
and it was closed. I am registered with them but they didn't notify me
that anything was up. So much for your government in action. The Expat
grapevine works pretty good and we generally know when something is is
the air and the air is very heavy lately. This is the first time I
heard the evacuation rumor, that my friend is an attention getter.

Hey Chuckles;

Just read on the Awful News Nutwork that the ANN "AWARD WINNING" news
bug will be up and running soon. Please tell me how did it win an award
before it was even launched? "Oh yawn take some petty cash go down to
Ace trophies pick up something and award it to us". I remember him
writing in his barnstorming column when he worked for Challenge
publications how he was going to write a book and it would a Pulitzer
winner. As awards go I'd say he is pretty much " 0 for life".

Or like the line in the movie Meet the Fockers (2004)

"I didn't know they made 9th place ribbons."

I remember that and I'm still waiting just like Charlie Porter is still waiting
for zoom to show up for the aerobatic competition. I want to know more about the
parachute jump from almost 10 miles up that he claimed.

That's a fact..

Chuck,

You obviously haven't really learned to understand Zoom....

"almost 10 miles up" can be any altitude up to and including
10 miles. Why yesterday I was on the roof of my house,
almost 10 miles up...

Of course, if he had actually done the jump, that might
explain some of his actions. The lack of oxygen at over
50,000 feet would certainly have destroyed most of his
cognitive brain cells... WAIT, maybe he DID do the jump!!

I remember one time at the Arlington Airfair when he spent
the better part of an hour walking about the Fair grounds
with a parachute strapped to his back. Kind of reminded me
of a Company Christmas Party a few years ago.... the wife of
one of the employee's who worked at a rest home cleaning out
bed pans came to the party wearing a white outfit complete
with a stethoscope hanging around her neck.

You know, when you ARE someone you don't have to tell the
world about it, it's already known....

I remember you telling us about the parachute incident it's still funny.
I just e mailed an organization that would know what it takes to do a high
altitude jump .As soon as I hear from them I'll post it here
This is a site that describes what it takes to jump from 30,000 '
www.batnet.com/mfwright/30Kjumps.html

I think they removed his article from the back issues already .I tried to find
it on the ANN site and it said the article wasn't there. Hmmm wonder if it
embarrassed someone there ? LOL!!!

See ya

We are pleased to present you an award for *the* most appropriately
worded evilurl ever, along with the title of "Award Winning Author".

The usual way zoom made it up or he awarded it to himself. ANN awarded zoom with
an award and now it's an "award winning " news source. I don't know of any
awards zoom has ever won LOL!!

Y'all are missing the obvious. You're assuming he's talking about
GOOD awards. Remember, there are also awards like the Darwin Award,
the Worst Dressed Award, etc.

He may well be telling the truth
