It is despicable to see you so overjoyed about this.

Listen: I am happy whenever the true state of GA gets media attention.
And then to watch the AOPA/FAA go into damage control mode, spewing
misinformation in order to protect the industry. I admit to that.

As far as people dying, that is tragic. Thank god no deaths on the
ground, just injuries. If this accident helps to convince just a few
people that flying is not nearly as simple as the total propaganda that
AOPA/EAA put out, some good can come of it.

I will not post here again. Goodbye lemmings.

If you'd only keep your promise... Your posting here significantly
lowers the signal-to-noise ratio in the forum

P2. of todays WSJ:

"Manhattan Plane Crash Points to Vulnerabilities"

Lead article in today New York Times. Quote by Gov. Pataki: "New
Yorks airspace should enjoy the same kind of protections as our
nation's capital."

Similar themes last night on Chris Matthews.

I was right. Again.

Out.

No, you were wrong. NYC is not asking for an ADIZ. Bloomberg said
emphatically that there's no security issue. Others may ask for an ADIZ, but
NYC is not doing so, contrary to your claim.

The feds understand that a NY ADIZ would be irrational. Bloomberg's stance
keeps the irrational step from being politically expedient. That combination
will likely keep it from happening.

Should not have made reference to mayors, but politics, pointing again
to inadequacy of FARs (many articles about how close, legally, you can
fly to a building), and safety of GA flight, including lack of
security.

Reference to mayor asking for ADIZ was wrong. Should have said
policiticians.

You are right in the sense that your views are in agreement
with so many other leftist/socialists whose philosophy is
that the solution to each and every problem in life is simply
ever more restrictions and regulation.

You would should move to North Korea, I'm sure they have a LOT
less aircraft accidents than America does.

Live free, or die. Libertarian. Do as you wish, but when you do harm
to others (pollution/safety), govt. must get involved.

There it is... the socialist philosophy.. "govt. must get involved."

The simple fact is that in a free society people will get hurt, and
people do die. That is just the way it is and always has been since
the beginning of time. Leftist (and those masquerading as Libertarians)
can't *stand* the concept. They simply cannot accept the fact that
a guarantee against ever getting a booboo has not and will not ever
exist on earth.

I guess they figure if they can eventually get just about everything
outlawed, banned or restricted (except picking your nose) then
things will be fine.... until a meteor falls on your house.
