How dare you post something about an airplane you can't get inside and fly!
Shame, Shame, Shame. :-)

Actually, I want to know how they keep that tool cart in place with 8
engines running. IIRC, those AMT engines produce something like 35-70 lb of
thrust each!

Since this thread hasn't disintegrated (yet?) into a flame war over some
irrelevant nitpicking, I consider it a success! ;-)

there's the company that makes'em: http://www.wren-turbines.com/
the HTML is screwed up, but if you'll look at the source, you can still pull
out links to the rest of the site like:

Damn.

You know you're into the edges when your "scale model" plane is

heavier
than some legal *piloted* flying machines.

(Some guy built a C-130 on about the same scale, which would do

LAPES or
paradrops...)

Very nice. My only question is... will it drop anything?

If you tell me their next project is a scale MOAB, I'm going to be

scared.

MOAB's too big for a BUFF's bomb bay, isn't it?

I suspect so, however, one can be slung under the wing pylon.

Could anyone see the videos? It looks like they were removed from the

server.

Go out to the engine manufacturers website, as they also have the videos:
www.wren-turbines.com. They are in the Latest News section.

They were slashdotted yesterday. Have a look at
http://freecache.org/http://www.wren.../B52_Test1.wmv
http://freecache.org/http://www.wren.../B52%20008.wmv
http://freecache.org/http://www.wren.../B52%20006.wmv

In other Slashdot news, today they managed to slashdot Kyler Laird's web
site.

At Wri-Pat they have a BUFF and a mockup MOAB on display.

1. I'm not sure about W&B, but the bomb bays of the BUFF will easily
fit 4 MOAB's. Remember, BUFF was designed in the early 50's to
accommodate the early H-bombs. And they were HUGH.

2. MOAB is designed for pallet extraction. Cannot be hung on
bomb racks.

I'm familiar with BUFF, MOAB, and W&B, but what is HUGH?

What I could quickly find calls the MOAB 30 feet long

and the BUFF bomb bay 28 feet long
