California is headed third world. The very rich and their servants. The first thing the Aircraft Certification Office said to Knutson when he went to get our TSOAs was how glad they are that Skylight did not leave California. So many airplane related companies have left California that the ACO is having trouble tracking them. FAA is going to require 6 month "minor modification" reports, so they can find out where the 21.303 companies have fled to. |

Consider, when Davis came to power California was the world's 5th largest economy and with the Clinton bubble, California moved to the fourth largest economy, by last Febuary California had fallen to 7th place. The State is in free fall and the Silicon Valley may just be made into a park. |

Walt, that's a specious argument.
We haven't had a constitutional government in the US since 1865. Pointing to the failures of a "less socialist state" among "more socialist states" doesn't say much. "Leslie Swartz" wrote in message ... Walt, that's a specious argument. We haven't had a constitutional government in the US since 1865. There are those who see the enforcement of the thirteenth amendment as a good thing. The forteenth amendmend somehow seems to apply to all but the second amendment. Pointing to the failures of a "less socialist state" among "more socialist states" doesn't say much. Global competitiveness tends to put the lie to your interpretation, Steve. The exidus of businesses from California is moving at an alarming rate. "Walt BJ" wrote in message om... Howdy!
In article , Gene Storey wrote: "Walt BJ" wrote Senator Joe Biden on C-SPAN September 11th pointed out that if the top 1% of the taxpayers in the USA didn't take Bush's tax cut this year the extra money paid into the Treasury in this single year by the top 1% would cover the 87 Billion Bush has just asked for. FWIW the bottom I say again bottom ranking income in that 1% rank is a cool 675,000 bucks. He just squeaked in, I guess. Senator Biden promised he will introduce a bill into the Senate to effect such an action. If they would just collect the taxes from people who haven't paid taxes for the last 5 years, we could fund 10 wars. The Democratic answer to taxes, is that we need to spend it, and not let the "we the people" have it. It is also a federalist agenda, where states can just go to hell. ....as opposed to what appears to be the current Republican thinking of "just spend it. We don't need no stinking taxes." yours, Michael -- Michael and MJ Houghton | Herveus d'Ormonde and Megan O'Donnelly | White Wolf and the Phoenix Bowie, MD, USA | Tablet and Inkle bands, and other stuff | http://www.radix.net/~herveus/ |

Which is what exactly? Constitutional entities are Mail, House, Senate, Executive, Military and Mint; all the Executive Cabinet activities are extra Constitutional. Bushwah! Non sequitur. If "Executive" is a "constitutional entity", how do you conclude that the cabinet activities (which you yourself call "executive cabinet") are "extra constitutional" (as if that phrase actually means something)? You've had this 'splained to you in words of one syllable (or less) before. No, it is a direct and accurate answer to Tim. If "Executive" is a "constitutional entity", how do you conclude that the cabinet activities (which you yourself call "executive cabinet") are "extra constitutional" (as if that phrase actually means something)? All cabinet level activities are Congressional authority granted to the Executive, none of which are in the Constitution. You've had this 'splained to you in words of one syllable (or less) before. No. Your stubborn insistence in parroting this line of specious crap marks you as an asshole of great magnitude. You are projecting, Houghton, as well as ignorant. |
