Raining in the Twin Cities - again.

People (you know who you are!) neglecting to trim their posts - again.

Oh well :-(

Send some my way. If it doesn't rain soon in the
Atlanta/Chattanooga/Birmingham area, we're going to have a new desert.

I don't know if you have been watching the news, but the Southeast is in
the most severe drout , second only to one. I don't know if it has passed
that one for first place, now - it could have. Western NC, where I am, has
been hit about as hard as anyone. We are under level 3 water restriction,
which means you can take a shower and flush the toilet, but that is about
it. No car washing, yard watering, swimming pool filling, and more.

We have a couple major river systems that have a lot of recreation and hydro
power dams, and the level has dropped so low on the lakes, that most (or all
on some lakes) boat launches are un-useable, and many people's docks are
sitting in the mud. Usually water is in no short supply, with almost
limitless useage, but not now. We are in really bad shape.

So if you know of a way to send your unwanted rain this way, get on it!

Hmm, I wonder if the post office could use some extra buisness? g

Your area has been getting quite a bit of national press the last couple of
days. Doesn't look good down there. I'd be happy to send you some of our
rain. It's making corn harvest a royal pain in the arse.

See, these are signs that precipitation changes are starting to occur because
greenhouse gasses are...

No! No! I didn't post that!

Forget it! Never mind!

We have standing water in the ditches at the local airport. If it doesn't
drain soon, we'll be able to skate on it.

That's what happens when I forget my 2-glass limit on mixing wine with
