Support your gliderport

It is mid-summer and the full effects of the economic slowdown are
affecting all small businesses. Many gliderports have been greatly
affected, which includes flight instructors, tow pilots, and line
personnel.

Glider pilots can do a lot to help. When gliderports disappear, the
catalog businesses are not going to be there to provide tows, rides,
and flight training.

So when you are making a purchase, please consider buying from your
local gliderport. The prices are often less than the catalog
businesses, and the service is always quick and friendly.

Hemet- Ryan gliderport is particularly under siege at the moment and
needs glider pilots to send their thoughts to the local supervisor.
Click on the following link and let them know how you are affected for
glider services including flight instruction, glider rides, and if the
glider operations disappear, it will affect your doing business and
vacation plans in the local community.

Supervisor Stone has a website with a “Constituent
Assistance Request Form” at http://district3.co.riverside.ca.us/.
