Default Alfonso and I-75

I recall the days long past when Alfonso Jurado,E9, was flying in Cordele and had to make an off field landing close to the Cordele airport. If any of you know how the Cordele airport is situated you will know that interstate 75 runs to the east of the airport. After realizing that he could not make it to the airport he decided to land on the interstate and I asked him how did you get that 20 in among the traffic. He simply replied that, " I flew next to a lady driving a car and motioned for her to slow down so that I could land". I tell this story because of the great memories of flying with E9 and the rest of the gang at Thermal Research. What a great guy, we think of him and speak of him often. Bob
