Default Just soloed on my 14th b-day!

I just soloed a Schweizer 2-33 on my 14th birthday! It was the very last day of
operations for the Windy City Soaring Association (11/28/04) and I was the last
flight of the season. I was amazed how much nicer the 2-33 seemed to fly solo
(or maybe it was just me).

A special thank you goes out to all who have purchased my contest photos at
races around the U.S. and also to those who have purchased items from my “I
Want to FLY!” store (www.cafepress.com/iwanttofly). You have helped fund my
lessons and made this whole aviation thing possible for me. I can’t wait for
next season!

Thanks!

congrats Trace,
at least you got to solo before the season shut things down.. try not to
loose too much over the winter.. winter time out here is our prime training
season for new students.. we fly year round..

yes... 2-33s do fly better with out that 200# mouth piece in the back seat
talking to you all the time.. LOL

I expect that we'll hear about your check ride on your 16th birthday..

Congratulations, Trace. Hope that you never lose your enthusiasm. If you can
arrange it, try to come out west during the off-season in Chicago: Nevada,
Arizona or California. The flying is year-around, you can experience a
different sort of flying, and more importantly, you will get less rusty.
Congrats again,

Cheers, Charles

Well done Trace!
Your note reminded me of my first solo at age 14, twenty six years ago.
Be safe and enjoy the sky!
All the best
