Ground temp was 38 and at 2000 was 50. Freezing level was 4000 but never got that high. It's just a very unusual occurence where I fly (Madison MS) at such a low altitude. Well, it's the nature of an inversion to be low level! They're generally caused by the earth cooling the air above it, so they're typically between the surface and say, 3,000', maybe a bit higher.
