Reminds me of a SR-71 story I downloaded a while back.
A Blackbird flying high over the USA requested from LA control clearance to FL 600 and the controller admonished him asking how he expected to get up to FL 600 and the Habu pilot replied he didn't he wanted to decend to there, he was cleared!
