Default New SeeYou 6.1 - New vector maps and satellite image maps - very cool!

Hi,

Naviter just released version 6.1 of SeeYou for PC. Customers with a
current SeeYou Cloud subscription can use the new vector maps and satellite
image maps which are much higher resolution that the previous maps. The
maps download automatically when you view a map in the waypoint, task or
flight windows. The new maps are extremely cool!

Tip: To view the new satellite image maps you disable the vector maps by
clicking on the "V" in the lower left corner of the SeeYou window. Then
click the "S" (for satellite) button in the lower left corner of the SeeYou
window.

These new features are (I believe) only available for SeeYou users with a
current SeeYou subscription. If you need an upgrade you can buy one here for
$59.

We are excited to present one of the most significant upgrades to SeeYou
ever. New Vector maps. New Satellite images. Newly found speed in rendering
the maps. Don't take our word for it - try it yourself and let us know what
you think:

I tried to upgrade from my currently licensed version of SeeYou and was unable to do so since the upgrade process asks for the original registration code and not the serial number. My original registration code is lost in the mists of time! I guess I'll have to be happy with the old version and keep my money!

Worked for me without having to input anything. Are you
registered on the See You Cloud, Mike?

Since they're now charging a subscription can we assume that the new version has been at least cursorily tested? I dont really like being a beta tester and the latest debacle with SeeYou mobile updates has me gun shy to click that Update button.

Hi Mike,

Only your SeeYou 5-digit serial number is required to upgrade. You can see
it is older versions of SeeYou by going to Help About. Only the 5-digit
serial number is needed when I order upgrades for customers.

After the upgrade you need to go to Help Registration.. and login to the
SeeYou Cloud. If you don't have a password you need to create one. I
include instructions on the invoice when customers order the upgrade from
me.

Paul, where it downloads the vector maps and Satillite from the cloud, do the new maps stay on the PC for use when you don't have an Internet connection?
Example, I update before going on safari. Laptop PC now at airport or hotel with now access and everything works just fine?

Hi Bill,

Good question. Yes. It is stated on the Naviter web site that any maps
previously downloaded from the cloud are available when not online.
