Default R-5107A and R-5103A transit

Does anyone know how likely it is to get permission to fly through these
two restricted areas? If permission is scarce, I guess I'll have to take
the scenic route through El Paso.

they are "restricted" areas.. not "prohibited" there should be a contact
information in the margin on the chart, call ahead and ask..

we get clearances through the local SW Restricted areas all the time..
depends on time of day.. activity.. and why the restricted area is there..
more likely to get clearances through the area on weekends.. at least around
here.. with "remain above x altitude restrictions"..

good luck
