Default Winter Solstice, soaring days getting longer

Well somebody has to say it: Hurray!! The days are getting longer as
of 12/21 23:38. I'm late by a day, just returned an hour ago from
overseas travel. Happy Holidays everyone,

Yes, but it sure doesn't feel like it in the morning. If I'm not
mistaken, dawn will be getting later for another ten days or so before
we turn the corner. Evenings have already been getting distinctly
brighter, though.

I sooo don't care about that. When I got out of the Army, I swore that
I'd never see the sun come up again. I don't have a perfect record but I
do try. :-)

Yup, On the earliest sunset of the year in the Boston MA USA area, the
sun set at 4:11 (09 Dec). It now sets at 4:16.

Many people are surprised to learn that the earliest sunset of the year
and the shortest day of the don't coincide.
