Default Interesting google maps shot of LGA

Check out this photo of ops at LGA: http://tinyurl.com/32pon8. Unless I'm
interpreting the photo wrong, there's one jet on a takeoff roll on 31,
another jet in position and hold at the threshold, and a third jet on less
than 1/4 mile final.

Are we looking at a go-around about to happen? Or is the guy on short
final just an artifact of how they build the immage mosaic from frames shot
at different times?

Not an expert here by any means, but if you turn on the DG coverage
layer on, it shows the photos days about 5 months apart.
sun shadow angles appear a little off as well..

runway photo date 10-05-2004

short final photo date 3-29-2005

Just my two cents worth..

Don't think you can on Google maps, but on Google Earth (any version)
the last selection on the menu layer tab, allows you to toggle photo
dates on.. by coverage year
the images are the same on both Google maps and Google Earth.
just different ways of using them..
