And now there are current TFR files at this link:

Most significant ones:
W of Olancha
W of Big Pine
Between Mammoth and Lee Vining
and for some
S end of Ruby Mountains (W of Ft. Ruby)
NW of Cedar City
E of Mt. Pleasant

Reno Air Races TFR starts on Sunday.
Rocket launches at Black Rock Desert start on Monday.
I'll buy beers for anyone in the Dash who has to skirt the TFRs near Grant County or Yellowstone.
Have fun!

Todd Schultz in a 1-26 flew ~197 miles for the DDD. After handicaps are calculated, his standing should be way up there... either 2nd or 4th for day. Landed on a remote dry lake between Twenty Nine Palms, CA and Parker AZ (6sm North Iron Mountain).

My apologies for missing that flight.

I downloaded and played on SeeYou TG's and 5Z's flights. Jeez those guys are brave. And must really know the local area.
I don't know the area from Tehacapi to Lone Pine, but watching those flights was a lesson on how to depart and head north at a low low and lower altitude.
Then when 5Z goes off the back of the Whites it gets really exciting again.
Hats off to those guys, took a lot of local knowledge and balls to pull off those flights in those conditions.
I would like to fly in that contest, but not in those conditions.
Two most excellent pilots at there best!
