Local altimeter at BFM
BFM is a Class D airport. The ILS 32
http://www.naco.faa.gov/d-tpp/0406/00268I32.PDF and VOR 18 plates say "Obtain local altimeter on CTAF." Why in the world would they say that? The local altimeter is available on the ATIS or ASOS 24/7. Another plate says "When control zone not in effect: ... Use Mobile altimeter setting." Why not use the ASOS altimeter? The VOR 14 plate does not mention the altimeter setting at all. -- Dan C172RG at BFM |
