Default Helo MAC at Torrance, California

From NBC news on the TV tonight:

Around 1530 today the student pilot of a two-place Robinson on his
first solo flight clipped the rotor disk of an R-44 with two aboard
(now believed dead), a Robinson employee possibly conducting a
customer familiarization flight. The flights were operating on
parallel runways, and there is some question about the ATC
instructions issued.

sounds like the crossing runway "ground hit" (not mid air) accident at VGT
last month.. still no official reports.. but everyone believes that tower
messed up.
