And now David-Clark unveils it's "Bose-Killer". The X11 headset. Cell and
music input, light weight and folds up nice and neat for storage. 799.00.
Marketing really screwed up there. Only 799.00...must be just ok. Should
have made them 995.00 and let our imaginations go crazy at wondering what
magical technology must be installed to justify the price. I bet the "X" in
the name is no coincidence either.

Hmmmm... shipping late July? Why, that means they will be introduced at
AirVenture '06!!! It's a stroke of marketing genius! I'll bet there will
be some special pricing.

Don't you just love competition? This is excellent news in the headset
arena.

Hopefully Bose drops their price and includes a cell/audio input in their
next generation of their headset.

While that would be really nice, what effect did the previous "Bose
Killers" have?

I've heard the "BK" term used for every other brand of cheaper ANR set
out there upon mass-market release.

Kobra,

Only 799.00...

You're kidding, right?

This is the kind of headset Lightspeed, Sennheiser, Telex, Pilot
Avionics and all the other introduced years if not decades ago. At
lower prices. Some at MUCH lower prices.

Peter,

Which were what headsets?

Tell me how that DC is different from the Sennheiser HMEC 400 (?), the
Telex Stratus, the Lightspeed Thirty 3G, the Pilot Avionics "whatever
model number" and all those others? Tell me why it is more expensive
than all these while offering exactly the same?

Well, don't buy them. You obviously own the perfect headset already.
