Default Watch out for the Brokers

Not the plane brokers, the stock brokers.

Their recent strategy, show up to airplane shows and get their hands on all
the cards they can.

I don't know how they got mine, but they left a message saying they had the
research I asked for(?), and that I should call right back.

Now that its happened twice, I can only only assume that they are getting
copies from someone at the show, or are stealing the cards from someone
elses jar. The latter would explain why I didn't hear from some of the
folks whose products I need.

Also, since it has happened in two different cities, I can reinforce a long
held belief - There is a jerk manager or business owner behind almost every
jerk salesman.

Why anyone in aviation would put up with these guys is beyond me. The only
thing that has been a bigger money pit than my airplane has been my
brokerage accounts. Without a doubt, they are going to try to get me to
invest instead of buying a faster plane from someone at the show. Infidels!

This is a ploy to get around the "Do Not Call" list.

We've been getting these calls all the time now, from "financial advisors"
who promise to "get us out from under our crushing credit card debt."

When I tell them we *have* no credit card debt, they don't know what to say.

It was fun, the first couple of times. Now it's just annoying.

I suppose they are getting more creative.

They specifically mentioned the shows though. If they call again, I get to
the bottom of it. Besides, I am not on the do not call list.

Someone tried to offer Margy something to pay off her credit card debt
and she said she didn't owe anything. They then offered to pay off her
home equity loan and she didn't have one of those. They then inquired
about her car loan, nope. They finally asked if she had any loan debt.
Just the house mortgage and the airplane...you have an airplane????
well that sort of got them...

LOL, it does set them back doesn't it. They immediately think you are a huge
millionaire. They don't know that the airplane is what's keeping you from
being a millionaire!

Whenever one of these idiots calls me, before they can start talking
their spiel, I rapid-fire ask them for their full name, address,
number of years at the address, social security number, date of birth
and their Visa or MC number with expiration date, so that I can open
an account for them and charge for my consultation fee before they can
even utter another word. They always hang up immediately after that.
