Default Isn't this spoofing thing outdated?

Any post sent to rec.aviation.military or any group other than
rec.aviation.piloting, is not from me. I do not cross-post. I also do
not spoof others' posts. I write in clear, concise, English phrases,
with correct grammar and no mistakes, save the occasional typo. I do
not
attack people personally, resort to name-calling or ad-hominem insult.
I would sooner lose contact with everyone here (which would be a
shame,
as there are many serious contributors) than resort to such tactics.

Anything you read which does not fully meet the above criteria, now or
in the future, is simply not from me.I hope this makes the spoofers'
task more complicated, as they will have their work cut out for them
respecting all of the above, whilst playing their childish games...

Remember, I'm a Bee!

Back to the normal identity (see how easy it is to change) I could very
easily submit posts signed, "TOM" ; write the most preposterous things,
then revert to my usual identity and furnish pithy responses. And what
would I have accomplished in so doing? What possible satisfaction could I
draw from such an inane prank? For me, it's not worth the 29 sec it takes
to do such a thing, but it would appear this is not the case for everyone
here.

Could it be that some contributors are having a very difficult time seeing
their shaky ideas challenged by rational arguments, and are ready to
resort to just about anything? Could it be that this same intellectual
weakness is what allowed them to be duped in the first place by these
whacko theories, preying on the intelectually frail?
