DG300 horizontal stab. bolt saftey wire
The Horizontal Stab. is held in position by a captive bolt that is
prevented from backing out by a spring steel wire that slides through a slot in that bolt. Mine just broke. Does anyone have experiance with that little wire and it's replacement? |

I drilled a 1/32" hole in a new location and then shoved a short length of bent music wire in the new hole so that it contacted one of the bolt head slots. Kept it in place with tape over the wire and bolt head. Its just a safety..... a properly tightened bolt isn't going to come loose in one flight. Worked for me, JJ |
