Perhaps it is some excessive Nanny state nonsense due to luminescent
guages. Had I been visiting the museum I couldn't have helped myself.

It's Elf'n'Safety concerns about the radiation given off by the radium
in the luminous instrument markings. Probably gave a rat a pimple on its
bum after 10,000 hours exposure to 1000 altimeters.

There was a shortage of museum staff ... I only saw the one, staffing the
ticket booth for the flight simulator. I'm sure there were others, but not
obviously dressed as museum staff.
