Default Refinish Glider in Europe

Would anyone consider shipping their glider with mine
to Europe and evenly split the shipping cost?

It appears that a refinish in Poland, and probably
Slovenia, can be done less expensively than here in
the US. It is less expensive if only more than one
glider can be placed in a shipping container.

Looks like the cost for shipping there and back would
be about US $6,000. Split three ways and add that
to a refinish cost of less than $8,000 (for a Standard
Class ship) and the refinish almost looks, eh-hem,
affordable (cough, cough).

No, I don't know the exact costs yet, but as one person
told me today, you don't know the EXACT total cost
until the glider is returned to you and you have picked
it up at the port.

If you might be interested in a joint shipping and
refinishing effort, shipping from the east coast of
the United States to Poland (or elsewhere?) please
contact me at:

vison at intrex dot net

Thanks,

Please make sure all your trailers are US DOT complaint and do NOT use
the port of Balitmore. To be DOT Compliant your trailer must NOT be a
homebuilt and you must have a federal DOT sticker on the side of the
trailer.

Hi Ray,

Tom Knauff was talking about doing the same some time back and may have
done it by now. If so, he would be a good source for info and costs.

Hi Tim - Did you eventually get your trailer extricated ?
How did you do it ?
Best Regards, Dave

PS: You owe us a wash and wax ;-)
