A beautiful reconstruction of the US Air flight that water-landed this
year. Very impressive video/audio overlays and analysis!

Makes one appreciate how little time they had to decide on a course of
action and execute it. It's also notable that they kept trying to
restart the #1 engine almost to splashdown.

It also gives you the flavor for how much multi-tasking was needed by
both of the pilots when you see how they juggled both the radio and
flying the plane - something I have screwed up a few times in everyday
flying without having to deal with an emergency.

It does look like they had a bit of thrust from that left engine from
time to time - I can see how it might have been tempting for the crew
to try for Tetorboro. Also, just before the landing, when they
deployed flaps, they climbed a couple of hundred feet. It's not clear
if this was the energy from slowing the plane or a burst from that
left engine.

Great animation.

Maybe it was a thermal. Good thing he resisted the temptation to try
a low save.

Favorite line: Sully- "any ideas?" FO- "actually, no".
