Today I had a chance to spend some time to see the live coverage of
the Grand Prix in Chile. It was superior coverage. Link to the live
tracking: http://gliding3.adventuretracking.co...petition/chile
Today it was interesting seeing 2 Dianas flown by Sebastian Kawa and
Thomas Gostner heading to the finish line head to head. Kawa took 2nd
and Gostner 1st.

It would be even nicer if they had a replay capabilities like the had
2 years ago in NZ so people who work can watch it in the evening.

I agree with Alpha Kilo: We can't have Google Earth on our computers
at work due to a licensing issue. The IT people came around and wiped
Google Earth off our computers a couple of years ago.

Watching it at home would be fun, if possible.

You can download all the trace files and replay them simultaneously in
which ever .igc viewer you choose.
IGC Flight Replay comes immediately to mind.

Just checked IGC Flight Replay and it appears that you can only run
one trace at a time. Still good fun though!

but part of the fun of watching the Grand Prix event is that it is
head to head racing.

SeeYou works very well for multiple flights. The satellite imagery
isn't quite up to Google Earth standards, but the flight
characteristics are more realistic than IGC Replay and you get to see
the gliders. Download all the terrain and satellite imagery for
maximum virtual fun.

SeeYou is OK, but there is no commentary about terrain or soaring
conditions. The NZ replay feature was wonderful. I would come home
from work hit the play button and enjoy.
