Default Avsim screws itself

Well now Avsim has changed its downloading policy--Hell I have so far
NOT been able to get a single download to happen!

Flightsim.com has the goofy speed restricions so downloading anything
from them takes forever! I see no need to suffer a 16kbs download with
High speed cable!

And even when i had paid for Flightsim the D/L speed was slow--Avsim
was well over 140kbs, but now-i cant even get a single thing to
download!

Great!

I think you're over reacting just a bit with regards to AVSIM. A) The
situation is temporary until they bring a new server online and B) What do
you expect when you have 1,000s of people downloading a 1 gigabyte terrain
mesh addon that was just released.

Instead of complaining, why not help AVSIM out by buying from their store,
making a small donation or clicking on some ads.

Thank you Matt. It never ceases to amaze me that some folks think it is "all
about them". If anyone wants to help with the nearly $7,000 we have spent in
the last two weeks, they are more than welcome to contribute at
http://www.avsim.com/pages/helpus.shtml. Ah but, wait, this is the Internet
right??? The Internet is FREE!!! Yeah, right. It's free as long as someone
else is paying for it, and/or as long as * I * get access for free. Oh, and
that gives me the right to bitch when the free service has problems too.

Anyway Matt, thanks for the voice of reason in the wilderness. It is
appreciated.
