Sad loss for all concerned - my thoughts go out to the families and friends.

A sad loss for all involved. Does somebody know where the aircraft was based?

based?

RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset

The aircrew killed were Lieutenant Commander Bill Murton, 45,
and Neil Rix, 29. Murton, who was married with three children
and lived in Somerset, was the Commanding Officer of 727
Squadron based at Roborough, Plymouth, Devon.

Neil Rix was was aircraft fitter with the Royal Naval Historic Flight

RIP gentlemen you will be missed.

Keith
