Default Anthony is not a pilot

Folks- how about a reality check he it seems like a lot of people end up
arguing with Anthony (mxsmanic) regarding aspects of flying about which he
is actually clueless. The screen names look different, but the arguments
from Anthony are boringly the same.

He is not a pilot and never has been. He has never worked a radio or spoken
with ATC. He has never piloted anything other than his desk, so why engage
him in useless discourse in which he takes statements out of context or
tries to give himself legitimacy in his otherwise miserable life.

Why validate his socially empty delusional existence? The only reasonable
response is to point out that he is not a pilot and has never flown, so
anything he says is meaningless.

Why start a thread like this? Does it really matter if he is or is not
a pilot? Would most sensible people take advice from a person because
they say they are a pilot?
The reality check for me is the type of flaming your starting here is
part of what is ruining this group. I have flown a few hrs, does that
make me a pilot? I don't think so, but
like Anthony I have an interest in aviation. I'm a member of AOPA, I
read and watch anything I can about aviation and yes, I use a flight
sim, several in fact.

So why not just let threads like this die?

Because Anthony serves no greater purpose here than a common troll, and a
magnet for dweebs.

We get sick of answering the same questions over and over and over.

Just like your post.

Sorry mate, but you are indeed a good example. Every other week, someone
comes along with the "gee he doesn't seem like such a bad guy" story, and we
either have to explain things to them, or watch them stumble around for a
few weeks until they get to know the prick, and usually both.

But sooner or later, 99.99% come to the same conclusion. He is a selfish
little prick that does nothing be spread noise and confusion, and discourage
a lot of real pilots.

Oh I have been watching the BS between people and MS for quite a few
years. I didn't say he wasn't an ass. What I disagree with is
viperdocs starting this ridiculous thread.

What I can't understand is all those folks trying to discuss with MX
[1]. I tend to start also filter the people responding to MX, too. I
already filter out MX, but still there remain too many postings in the
same thread.

[1] Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell
the difference.

While this is usenet, and anything goes, I personally think it is great that
people post about flying, relating questions and experiences regarding the
process of flying.

Anthony is unique in that his behavior has driven him from the sim groups,
as well as the moderated Leica forums. It is pointless to argue with him,
and why bother, since he has never flown and never will. Why even try to
discuss subtle points of distinction with him when he knows nothing about
it, despite his delusions- he will never admit that he is wrong or
incorrect.

Then, there are the responders to the responders, who tend to be rigid and
narrow minded and feel that usenet should conform to their own perception
and sensibilities. These are probably the same guys who claim there is only
one way to enter a traffic pattern, one way to communicate, and therefore
never think outside the box. They may never get into trouble, but won't do
much to advance either knowledge or creativity. I see a lot of people like
this in the military. As they get older they are the ones who hang around
airports and are the curmudgeons, "grumpy old men" who spend most of their
time talking about the good old days.

Get a clue- it's usenet, so anything goes. No one, even Anthony or shywon,
will be able to make it what they want.

Yet, Anthoiny wins attention with every post that is a response to, or
about, him. He could not in real social envirnoments have an
opportunity to engage with most of us, yet we permit him to here.
