I heard that this morning. That little bit in the beginning about the
single engine exploding kinda ****ed me off.

Heard it also... It never ceases to amaze me that whenthe media runs
an aviation related story it is unable to find a reporter that has any
aviation experience.... Must be no one smart enough to fly is dumb
enough to be a reporter...

I got the impression it was the pilot who brought it up; just jerking the
reporter's chain.

That guy is okay, but Adriel Heisey is the king of Arizona aerial
photography. What he does in his Kolb Twinstar is amazing.

or, just Google on Adriel Heisey. He inspires me.

This one wasn't the reporters fault. The pilot brought it up, which was
extra stupid considering he was talking with someone that was obviously
already a little nervous about a single engine plane.

Yeah, I agree, he should know better - but then he is a doctor, what
can you expect!

I recently had some interaction with the local radio stations and the
thing we need to keep in mind is that the majority these reporters
are, for the most part, working for less than minimum wage... A 4
year university degree qualifies you to start out working for free as
an 'intern'... Then if you make full reporter status you will be paid
almost nothing... It is not attractive to the best and the
brightest...
