Joseph, thanks for that photo. A friend of mine has sent me the following details that you might find interesting.
Thanks for the photo. The 'Biff' as they were known, is interesting, as it's one of the comparatively rare machines to be fitted with a 200hp Hispano-Suiza engine, rather than the standard Rolls-Royce Falcon. It was built at the National Aircraft Factory No 3, a plant at Aintree originally built by Cunard. 500 F2Bs were to be built there, in batch D2126-D2625, but only 126 were constructed before the contract was terminated in March 1919. I'd say that the machine in the photo was at a Training Depot Station (a Flying School in later terminology) as the man in front of the aeroplane has the white cap band that identifies a Cadet pilot.
