Cant save the downloaded real weather
I used to be able to save a downloaded real worl weather, with a
situation. When I then load the situation later on, the weather data from the time I saved the situation is loaded. If it was raining and temp was 12 dec celcius, its the same when I load the situation. If I now load the old saved situations, the weather data is also loaded. But if I today generate a new situation, download the latest real world weather, and save the situation, and then later load the newly saved situation, the weather data dosenīt load. The weather is "reset" to some kind of default value, with clear visibility, no clouds and 15 deg. celcius all over the world... I have removed the cookies in the explorer and moved the temp files folder in explorer, just as Microsoft on their supportpages guides me to do. Nothing helps! I also have been udinstalled and reinstalled the FS2004 two times, but nothing helps... Any ideas what I should do? Regards Michael Denmark |

There is normally no problem creating a flight, downloading the real-time weather, saving the flight, and then selecting the flight later with the downloaded weather correctly in there. You might start by checking the folder "My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\..." for the file with the name of the flight which you saved. There should be the flight itself with the .FLT extension, and the weather file with .WX extension. Are you using a flight name that already exists? Perhaps there is a problem with permissions prohibiting overwriting that file? It should not matter, but if you saving the flight immediately from the "create a flight" screen, then you might try "Fly Now" first, then save the flight from the menu: "flights - Save flight", just to test it it makes any difference ..... |
