Well, the weather gods have blessed us. Saturday, Mar. 07, saw a great
practice day with winning speeds over 200 miles @ 70 mph. Bases late
afternoon rose to 5500 agl. Lift 4-6 kts.
First contest day, today, saw a full grid, a called TAT of 2 hrs 45
minutes. Winning speeds close to 70 mph over 211 miles. Handicaps are
still being updated and it appears KS will win the first day. The top
5 include DUO, KM, Z, 711 and that order could change after the
updates are put in. No landouts, great lift with climbs over 7 kts to
6,000 msl were being reported. One long coming home cloud street had
smiles from many racers.
Shortly, more will be posted on the SSA website as our scorer just
arrived and the CD John Good has been wearing many hats.

Well, I went fastest at close 71 mph and the furthest, but nowhere
near good enough to beat these guys with my handicap !
See ya, Dave "YO electric"

PS: Some 7 knot thermals as well !
