Beats me why anyone would want to waste so much energy on what is
obviously a soarable day...

I didn't know a glider could do a (pardon the spelling) lumshivak (at
least, that's what I thought it was)

Was the glider a Fox ?

Absolutely gorgeous!

The glider is a Swift. The designer of the Fox also designed the
Swift. Sadly, neither are in production any more.

Here's a link to the designers homepage with some history of the two
gliders...

Last I talked with Marganski, (quizzing him about the Swift a couple
years ago...) they were still making the Fox, but not the Swift. It's
a sad day indeed if they don't make the fox any longer either. There
is also a one-off single seat version of the Fox as well, that they
toyed with the idea of producing but hasn't come to fruition. Jerzy
Makula has used it for the last few international acro comps. Here's a

PS. Thanks Ben! Brilliant video indeed (now filed under 'Brilliant!'
on my glider links page...).

Ah... hence the "Team Swift" in the description section of the video
on YouTube. Sorry, I didn't make the connection.

They loop the 2-33. I didn't know the beastie could (or should!) do
that!

No, it's not a 2-33 (I'm getting VERY annoyed with myself today).
Some other old high-wing (sorry, don't know what it is). It also
flies inverted a bit.
