Great site, Don!

For those who have never been to Creve Coeur, it is the most amazing
airport! More like a flying museum, really, with antique-classics
everywhere you look. Mary and I flew there last summer, and spent several
hours receiving a tour of the hangars, presented by a guy who knew
EVERYTHING about each plane, including when it last flew!

If you go, call ahead, to make sure the tour guy(s) will be around, and plan
on spending a few hours. It's worth it, and there is much to do in the St.
Louis area. We made it a long weekend, and had a GREAT time.

Plan to spend some time there one day. It's an airport overflowing
with history and adventure. Stopped there one evening when Sue and I
were doing a tour of St Louis area airports and spent a while talking
to Tony Petruso about his Alaska trip in his Tri-Pacer.

a little added excitement when a coyote crossed in front of us on our
night takeoff.

A group of us did Creve Coeur a couple years ago. What a
cool place. Great collection of aircraft.
