December 21 at Marfa, Texas, USA: Only 6 knots to 11,400' msl. Yep, summer is
coming, and at our airport elevation of nearly 5,000' msl, it won't be
ridiculously hot. Soar the scenic high country of west Texas year-round - our
Spring Thermal and Wave Camp will be March 19-26, 2005.

Stuck in the snow? Finish your glider training in Texas. FAA checkrides by
appointment.

not bad Burt... Thermals to 6500AGL, we've been caught under an inversion
out here for the last three weeks, thermal activity about 3 in the
afternoon, right around pattern altitude, and not enough of a breeze to soar
the local ridge.

But.. it's been a mild winter.. and now the days are getting longer..

Central calif is the same. Nothin'. Of course
it's reeeel easy to teach aerotow in smooth air
though

And it seems a LOT colder than last year. Maybe a month
of near-freezing or below nights...
