I thought the moral was "don't go to an airshow without an air
conditioned motor home!" That's a pretty good rule, too! I was fortunate enough to see Bob fly two different times...... and the other was at Williamsport, PA in probably the mid 80s. I was at that airshow, too! IPT is less than an hour by PA-28 from here. vince norris |

I watched him at Burke Lakefront. He was flying an Aero Commander. The energy management was impressive... -- A host is a host from coast to & no one will talk to a host that's close........[v].(301) 56-LINUX Unless the host (that isn't close).........................pob 1433 is busy, hung or dead....................................20915-1433 |

Does that sound familiar also? If so, it must have been the same show. Matt |

Either my senility is worse than I thought, or I must have been there another year. The IPT air show was an annual, or almost annual, affair in those days, as I recall. vince |

I remember that someone flew a glider acro routine before Bob came
up. Very nice. First time seeing that. That might have been Manfred Radius, if I got the name right. He did his act to music. He performed ast OSH at least once, too. I assume there are tapes - I'd like one if anyone knows where. I assume you mean tapes of Bob Hoover's act. One good source to try would be Rockwell International, his sponsor. Write or phone their public relations department. vince norris |
