Default West Coast USA Motorglider Flyin 2009

Anyone interested in coming to a West Coast USA Motorglider Flyin?

The Grob 109 group has suggested this idea and has found some
interest.

Please indicate if you might be interested in such an event.

Send your name, location, Aircraft type to me so I can put you on the
notification list and keep you posted on progress.

We are thinking the summer or fall of this year and would select a
site that would have good soaring, lodging/camping, fuel, food etc.

After 2 days we have about 9 people wanting to attend with Gob 109,
Taifun, Moni, Monerai.

Note there is a ASA Cross-Country Camp in Parowan, UT in June.

Check out the ASA at: http://sites.google.com/site/motorgliders/

Also the Ximango Operators Group (XOG) has a calendar and are talking
about setting up some events. (http://xog.memberlodge.org/) Sounds
like some coordination is possible. Plus we can list on the event
calendar.

ASA, in the context of motorgliders, means "Auxiliary-powered Sailplane
Association", not one of the numerous other ASA organizations! And
remember, motorglider.org is, well, easier to remember, and will work
even if we change host sites!

Looking forward to Parowan...

I'll work around those other events.

Since it is a fly-in it will be a free and easy come if you want, chat
with friends, make new aquaintences, compare notes,
type of friendly meet.

Once we get a location set up and endorsement from the FBO or private
operator I'll see what we can do about enhancements
from vendors, EAA chapters, some good PR for gliding in general etc.

Sounds good, I believe Nevada was discussed as a possible site.
