Hi All

I'm looking for any scans/pdf's of this series of articles which defined the handicapping of gliders particularly in the US.

Apparently the articles were published in Free Flight , and before that in PASCO's West Wind in 1998 or thereabouts.

Wondering if anyone out there has copies or scans they could send me?

Many Thanks

Peter Deane

on the subject of glider handicapping:

can someone shed light on why a handicap of 100 would be given to a 17m sailplane with flaps?

TIA,
GK

Possibly because it is believed by the handicapper to have the same expected cross country speed as a Std Cirrus?
That would be my guess
