Default Recent C421 crash is related to Cory Lidle

Do you know that a recently fatal Cessna 421 crashed at Big Bear
airport is related to Cory Lidle's crash?

The 3 persons killed in C421 were the non-pilot owner, his friend and a
new hired pilot. The astounding story behind it is -- the C421's
original pilot was Tyler Stanger, Cory Lidle's instructor, who crashed
into Manhattan building with Lidle. The non-pilot owner then hired a
new pilot for his C421. This accident happened on the new pilot's
first flight (that carried the owner).

Sadly, this tragedy reflects a Chinese proverb: Good luck seldom comes
in pairs but bad things never walk (occur) alone.

Here are the 2 reports:
NTSB report of Cessna 421 accident
http://www.ntsb.gov/NTSB/brief.asp?e...16X01682&key=1

NTSB report of Cory Lider's accident
http://www.ntsb.gov/NTSB/brief.asp?e...18X01530&key=1

A news report that marginally indicated the relation between the 2
accidents:
http://www.nationalledger.com/artman...27269921.shtml

May all the deceased are rest in peace. My condolence sends to their
families.

I thought it might be an attempt at "The Weakest Link."

Odder still...

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the friend of Stanger's who died at
Big Bear was supposed to be flying WITH Stanger and Lidle in NYC but had to
beg off going with for some reason.

1) Just because you read it, doesn't make it true.

2) The media has clearly been watching too many "Final Destination" sequels.
