Default New flight recorder - flyWithCE Flight Recorder

You can easily convert any IGC file to GoogleEarth format by using the
facility on http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/map_input?form=googleearth

This spring I have released two new products – flyWithCE Flight
Recorder and flyWithCE Logbook.

That's a cool little device. Am I reading it right that it has just
one button for on/off? I'm assuming that the way you tell it that
you're ending one flight and starting another is by cycling the
power? Is there any LED to indicate when it has a good GPS lock?

Are there any plans to make this recorder IGC certified (and add a
altitude pressure transducer)?

In this version pressure sensor could not be added. I am still
reviewing the IGC certification possibilities, but I would rather say
no than to promise something that I cannot keep.

On the other hand I would like to offer an alternative to mainstream
IGC certified flight recorders and add new features. One of those
features was already added – use of Google Earth to view flights. This
is very good program and has as spectacular 2D and 3D views. It is
free to use and it also works in offline mode (when you are not
connected to the Internet). And you can send KML files to anyone who
has Google Earth installed.

Best regards

Uros

gpsvisualiser is an excellent facility, but for viewing IGC filesw on
Google Earth, I must recommend IGCReplay.

http://www.ywtw.de/igcsim.html (German)
http://www.ywtw.de/igcsimen.html (English)

It does not require any advance file conversion, Try it!

yes, but this is already linked into the software provided with the
flyWithCE recorder and without saving files and opening any other program
the Logger software can go directly to Google earth or you can simply select
the flight log and open in SeeYou Strepla or whatever your PC has
installed..it's very seamless and simple...
