Not been paying close attention have we.
Said reports have been outed as forgeries.

Comes the day of reckoning on Nov 3 there's gonna be a few very
sorry Dhimmicrips.

You know, at first I thought the forgery bit was maybe just sourgrapes, but
after reading the alleged document, you gotta ask--who the heck really
thinks such a document would have ended up in Bush's own military records
anyway? Memos-for-record titled "CYA" do NOT end up in some guys 201 file.
Coupled with the interesting fact that the document CBS put out, which
supposedly dated from 1972 and would have at best been done up on an IBM
Selectric, matches *exactly* the same document ginned up using MS Word, the
forgery case does indeed seem realistic. Whatcha make a bet the big media
ignores this (having already trumpeted the documents), just like they are
trying to ignore Kerry's own contradictory Vietnam stories versus his own
journal entries from that time period?

Four years ago, the draft-dodger Bush was running against

Vietnam, albeit in a non-combat role. Nevertheless he managed
to make himself look like the hero and the volunteer look like

Draft-doger.
In the above context, "draft-doger" would appear to be anyone who was not
'drafted'.
Bush (TX ANG - fighter pilot)
Gore (Army volunteer - journalist?)
Kerry (Naval Reserve - eventually a SB captain)
Clinton (none - actively avoided being drafted or serving in any way)

Clinton seems to be the only one who fits the 'draft-dodger' moniker.

How is volunteering for the Air Guard different from volunteering for the
Navy Reserve?

2/3 of the military during the Vietnam era did not see SEA. And, Art K's
screechings notwithstanding, you usually do not get to choose where you go.

It's the NEOCON way.

You have been asked many times to define "neocon." Why do you
refuse to do so?

It's because he doesn't know.

Perhaps he can't spell "poopyhead"? It carries about the same meaning in
his posts.

A small correction.

'Assigned', not "attached".

Ooops, my bad....

A small, but important, distinction.

Interestingly enough, Viet Nam is/was the defining event of our (well, MY!)
generation. EVERYBODY thinks, talks, and argues about it.

But of those eligible by virtue of sex and age, only EIGHT PERCENT got up
close and personal with the VC/NVA!

Please provide a link when making a charge like this otherwise it's no more
than unsubstantiated blather, of which there is more than enough in this
newsgroup already.
The gross point here though is simple...if Kerry's DD-214, Honorable
Discharge and "official" medal citations are proof positive of his exploits
because they are "official" Navy documents, then Bush's DD-214 and Honorable
Discharge are equally proof positive of his service. Simple as that.
Now, can we leave what happened 30 years ago behind and move on with the
real issues facing this country? PLEASE!
