McAllister takes Silver at Russian Grand Prix
Hi All,
Our contest is complete and official - Victor Panafutin is the winner of the Qualifying Sailplane Grand Prix - Russia. Tim McAllister placed second. Both of them are now qualified to participate in the next World Sailplane Grand Prix in Omarama, New Zealand in 2007. Congratulations to all of the competitors for safe and fair competition. Thanks to the organizers for putting on a great contest! Special thanks to Iakov Shrage and Dmitry Timoshenko for inviting us in the first place and for encouraging us to fly in Russia. We certainly hope to return to enjoy the typically good/great soaring that this country can offer. Thanks to all who have sent me e-mail/comments over the last 6 weeks. The Club/World Class team appreciates your support, as do Tim and I. Susan McAllister |
