Default Bogart--A-36--1943?

Is that an A-36 or P-51A masquerading as a German fighter in the bogey film
Sahara?

Germans are wearing WWI helmets, but the M3 Lee sure is cool.

It's a P-51A, according to the book "When Hollywood Ruled the Skies". It's
wearing 1918-style German crosses--and only on the areas of the wings where the
American Star-and-bars went.
