Default Illegal Immigrant Workers

THE SECURITY OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT AIRCRAFT WORKERS
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials arrested 27
illegal immigrant workers in a raid last Tuesday -- the workers were
fixing airliners. ICE conducted the raid on theTIMCO Aviation Services
facility in Greensboro, N.C. The 27 people arrested face a variety of
charges, including using false documents (most had driver's licenses).
They come from Sudan, Chile, Peru, Zimbabwe, the Philippines,
Venezuela, Mexico and Laos. At least one had obtained his A&P rating
from the FAA. "As the 9/11 Commission pointed out, the United States
cannot risk having 'unknown' people working on its critical
infrastructure," ICE spokesman Thomas O'Connell said in a statement.

Just a bit of news I thought the group might like to read. The feds can
strip search every passenger on every airplane for a false sense of
security. Until we go after the "root" cause , our wide open borders and
horrible immigration law enforcement, we are just kidding ourselves.
And to hear politicians talk about it, these illegals only want to work
our low paying jobs that Americans do not want to do!!! Kinda shoots that
theory all to crap doesn't it? Since we can't profile an Arab, working a
Heavy C and D check facility would be a great place to have access to every
hiding place on an aircraft for " Allah knows what!"
I have worked contracts at Timco several times through the years, the
security gate does not check employees for explosives, etc. Just have to
have a good old Timco badge. 6 worked for Timco , the rest were contractors
like myself,...well except that I am an American citizen!
Contract screening is somewhat lax anyway, since the company wants to
get bodies in there to make money. In this day and age it is time for them
to really "check out" the people they hire. I found it amusing that Wal Mart
made national news because illegals were working for a contractor to clean a
parking lot, but illegals working on commercial airlines recieved no
coverage at all. Timco needs a BIG FINE, as does the contract house that
hired these people.
And the US government needs to protect this nation by protecting it's
borders,...not strip searching passengers.
